With a Vintage/Modern aesthetic, dawgheads are a truly unique approach to capturing the very essence, spirit and personality of your pet. Each portrait is hand cut, carved and then sanded from birch wood. Once the shape of the dawghead is fully prepared, your pets image is carefully drawn and then fastidiously painted in oils. Metal banding is added plus rivets to secure it. A serial number specific to your pet is hand-stamped and a corresponding signed and dated certificate of authenticity is applied to the back of the work with your pet's name on it. Hardware is attached to create a floating effect where the dawghead ,while secure on the wall with the included hardware/instructions, will have a roughly 1/2" gap off the wall. Ready to hang with no need for additional framing charges. Finally, to finish the work, a high-quality tag (with options for shape, color and type) is attached. The hanging attachment allows you to add your pet’s old tags ( ex: expired license etc ) thereby giving even more meaning to your custom- shaped dawghead.com portrait.
